THE MEETING
Objective:
To foster discussion and share the latest advances in functional genomics, precision genetics, gene editing, and other new genomic techniques (NGTs) in aquaculture species.
About the Event:
This meeting is aimed at aquaculture industry producers, academic, researchers, genetic companies, and undergraduate and graduate students. It will take place in Puerto Varas, Chile, on November 19-20. The event will provide a platform for sharing knowledge on scientific, regulatory, and commercial aspects of genetic editing in aquaculture.
How to Participate:
For this event, you can submit your abstract, which will be reviewed by an academic committee, for the opportunity to present your work either orally or as a poster

Format Options:
Online (International Participants Only): Access to oral presentations with simultaneous translation, and a certificate of participation.
In-Person (Chile): Includes full access to the event, poster or oral presentation opportunities, coffee break and lunch on both days, simultaneous translation (English/Spanish), and a certificate of participation.
Deadlines
- Early registration is available until October 17th, 2025.
- Late registration applies from October 18 to November 18th, 2025.

The registration fee includes:
- Full access to the event.

Submission Guidelines
The submission must be in a Word document and should include the following:
- Title
- Authors
- Affiliations
- Abstract in English (up to 200 words)

To submit your abstract, please complete the registration form and upload your document as instructed.

2. Structural variants and pangenomes.
3. Fundamentals of CRISPR-Cas9 and other genetic editing tools.
4. Case studies of in vitro or in vivo gene editing.
5. Bioinformatics tools applied to NGTs.
6. Microbiome genetic engineering.
7. Precision breeding.
8. Regulatory and bioethical challenges related to NGTs.
9. Risk and benefit assessment of NGTs.
10. Commercial aspects and market scenarios for NGTs.
11. Consumer perception and traceability of NGT-derived products.
